The Giraffe Center was set up as a refuge for the endangered Rothschild giraffes in the year 1979 by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. Visitors get the opportunity to see and come close to the world’s tallest animal. One can also feed the giraffes with specially made hay pellets, which they take from your hands using their sticky black tongues.

How to get there

The Giraffe center is located along Duma Road in Karen. It is advisable to take a taxi if you intend to get there.
